LVSC was founded in 1989 by a small grass roots organization
of Schoharie County residents who believed in the principle
that the ability to read and write, to understand and be
understood is critical to personal freedom and the maintenance
of a democratic society. In 1991, the organization
incorporated under the laws of the state of New York.
LVSC is an accredited affiliate of ProLiteracy Worldwide and
affiliated with Literacy New York. |
